Coast Salish: Land, Sea and Place (CSLSP)

The Lopez Island Family Resource Center (LIFRC) is once again partnering with LISD to offer a 4-day/3-night camp experience at Camp Moran on Orcas Island. Students will take a boat trip to one of the outer islands, learn about the ancestral history and cultural significance of the San Juan Islands, participate in outdoor education activities with the LIFRC staff and a state park interpretive ranger. This is an amazing opportunity made possible by an Outdoor Leadership Grant (OLG) awarded to LIFRC by WA State Recreation & Conservation Office and WA Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and led by Coast Salish Educators and Tribal partners. // El Family Resource Center se asocia una vez más con LISD para ofrecer una experiencia de campamento de 4 días y 3 noches en el Campamento Moran en la Isla Orcas. Los estudiantes tomarán un viaje en bote a una de las islas exteriores, aprenderán sobre la historia ancestral y el significado cultural de las Islas San Juan, participarán en actividades educativas al aire libre con el personal de LIFRC y un guardabosques interpretativo del parque estatal.
