Lisa Honold from the Center for Online Safety will visit the classrooms on February 10th to educate students about internet safety and then offer a 60-minute evening presentation (40 min + 20 min Q&A) for parents/caregivers to help families reinforce the safety skills students K-12 learned during the school day.
Topics include:
- Research on youth mental health and screens, gaming, AI and social media
- Risks of AI, gaming, and social media and protective factors (including adults being role models with screen time)
- Introduction to the Family Tech Agreement (Spanish and English) and how to create rules & limits at home
- How to set digital guardrails on: privacy, safety limits, time limits, content, and supervision
