In partnership with the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC)

Join YCC crew leaders and crew members to learn about the Salish Sea ecosystem and how to be a young steward of the environment in the San Juan Islands. Learn strategies and techniques to construct and maintain trails and safe handling of tools. Rediscover beautiful spots on Lopez and work on conservation projects together!

This camp is designed for youth ages 10-14

Grades: 5th-8th grade Including 8th grade Graduates!

Dates: July 8 – 11 (Mon-Thurs)

Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Locations:
Monday: Fisherman Bay Spit Preserve
Tuesday: Coville trail
Wednesday: Watmough
Thursday: Hummel Lake Trail

Instructors: Mike Rosekrans, Stece Tijerina, YCC crew leader

Fee for full-time residents: Free (Funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant)

Fee for non-residents: $90
