Come to Lopez Food Share. You will be asked to self-declare some information about you and your household. You will never need to provide proof for the answers you give. If there are questions you do not want to answer, please mark those: "Undisclosed". You do not have to complete the registration to receive groceries or services*. Lopez Food Share hours of operations are as follows:

Wednesdays

Golden Age Hour (62+): 11:30AM - 12:00PM All other shoppers: 12:00PM - 4:00PM

The Lopez Food Share is closed on all Lopez Island Schol District approved holidays and breaks.

The Lopez Food Share follows the LISD schedule for inclement weather, holidays and breaks. That is to say, when the school is closed, for example, for spring break, the food share is also closed. We mirror any weather closures that the school initiates and we observe all federal holidays.

Where are we located?

The Lopez Food Share is located at 1008 Dill Rd. at the entrance to Lopez Storage.

When are we open?

We distribute food on Wednesdays 11:30AM-12:00 PM for seniors aged 62+ and 12:00PM-4:00 PM for general public.

The Lopez Food Share is typically staffed Tuesday - Thursday, 8:00AM -4:00PM, however, we are a small, mostly part-time staff and as such, are not always present during our stated hours.

Do you want to donate?

Do you have unopened, unused food items that you'd like to donate? Bring them to 1008 Dill Rd. during the following hours:

Tuesday from 10:00AM -2:00PM
Wednesday from 10:00AM -4:00PM

Donations can always be left on the green and grey rack to the left of the exit sign. Please abide by our donation guidelines below.

Donation Guidelines:

A staff member MUST be present to receive donations.

  • Nonperishable foods
  • Factory-sealed products
  • Pet food
  • Farmed goods (no mold or ground fallen fruit)
  • No clothes
  • No household items
  • No rusty or soiled items
  • No items more than 2 years expired
  • No home-canned items

The Lopez Food Share is a food pantry providing fair access to healthy and nourishing food.

The Lopez Food Share is committed to preventing hunger and building a more resilient hunger relief network in our rural, remote community. 

We believe food is more than sustenance—it’s about access, dignity, and long-term well-being. Early last year, we surveyed Food Share clients to better understand their needs: what kinds of foods they’d like to see more of, what health concerns they’re navigating, and what access looks like in their daily lives. With their input—and with the support of the American Heart Association and the Washington Food Coalition—we created a Nutrition Policy that aligns with our values and theirs.
