The mission of the LIFRC is to support and enhance the security, well-being, and educational and life success of children, families and individuals on Lopez Island.

Vision Statement

The LIFRC is a safe, welcoming, confidential environment. We offer opportunities to:

  • Share enriching experiences and healthy activities
  • Build self esteem and life skills

Values Statement

The LIFRC is an organization committed to inclusiveness and open and honest communication. We act out of hope, compassion, community, and a shared belief in a positive future.

What We Do

  • Assist with or refer to community support services
  • Foster relationship-building – peer to peer, group to group, agency to agency, intergenerational, or any combination of the above
  • Provide enriching experiences and positive models for children and families

Parameters for Program Adoption and Assessment

All programs delivered by the LIFRC must:

  • Support the mission of the LIFRC
  • Be aligned with “What We Do”
  • Be approved by the Board of Directors
  • Reflect the values of the LIFRC
  • Enhance the visibility and image of the LIFRC
  • Be clearly defined and provide measurable outcomes
  • Be sustainable in terms of capacity and funding
  • Address priority needs
  • Be replicable
