Got Green: Environmental Justice in the Trump Era

Community Conversations Presents “Got Green”

March 9, 6:30 pm Grace Church Hall

The threats of climate change, economic inequality, and racism are escalating. Communities of color and working-class families will continue to be hit first and worst by climate change.

Got Green (http://gotgreenseattle.org/) is one of the most exciting change-making organizations in Seattle. It cultivates multi-generational, low income, and people of color community leaders to be central voices in the Green Movement in order to ensure that the benefits of the green movement and the green economy – healthy food, green jobs, energy efficient and healthy homes, public transit – reach those most impacted.

Please join us for our fifth Community Conversation on Thursday, March 9th at 6:30 pm at Grace Church Hall to hear Got Green’s Executive Director Jill Mangaliman and Got Green grassroots leaders share their community-based approach to environmental and social justice. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated and will go directly to support Got Green’s important work.

Community Conversations are sponsored by The Lopez Island Family Resource Center, Lopez Community Land Trust, Leadership San Juan Islands, and Transitions Lopez. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. Bring questions and an open mind.
